Good Experience Great Professors Enjoyed Most Courses Average Work Load Average Admin Support

I loved the program itself at UOttawa. The school of international development at UOttawa is pretty big, and there are a wide variety of courses you can take, especially in upper years. Most DVM profs are great and have a good amount of experience in the field. If I were to do something different I would try to take a semester abroad or do an international internship. If you want to work for the government this program and being in the city of Ottawa is very helpful.

Good Co-op Poor Coordinator Liked My Job Learned A Lot Some Help From School Peers Helped With Co-op

I think having a coop during school is very useful. It gives you real job experience, which is much more valuable than material learned in your courses. Also, the jobs available through your school’s coop navigator are often not available through external job sites. However, the coop program at UOttawa is poorly managed, the coordinators are not very useful and they overcharge you for what you get. I would recommend using the coop system for your first coop term and trying to find your own job for the following terms.
