Great Experience • Great Professors • Enjoyed Most Courses • Very Heavy Work Load • Amazing Admin Support
Being a student is not easy, and having a philosophy major is a lot of work. Every semester, I was writing 2-3 essays for each class. I did my major over 5 years because of how heavy the reading is in philosophy, and how time consuming it is to be writing 10-12 essays every semester. However, I hate exams so it worked for me. Be prepared to read for hours and write endlessly. Overall though, philosophy covers so many topics that you have a lot of freedom to focus on whatever you're really interested in (for me it was Ancient Greek Philosophy). The profs are amazing (minus a few), but ratemyprof will be your best friend for this.
